On meeting each other while performing lead roles in the stage production of  Miracle on 34th Street, Darrell & Dawn, who reside in the tiny northwest town of Taylorsville, GA (pop: 200), and are members of Spring Creek Baptist church in Rome, GA, now devote their time actively touring throughout the southeast. They share their faith-based traveling ministry and passion for the Lord through a series of concerts at worship services and revivals that draw upon the spiritual interest and renewal in the life of others.

Every week the Ritchies set out on their mission to lift up the body of Christ and draw men to Him through testimony, authentic lyrics, and distinctive harmonies. In their unique calling, the duo journey from city-to-city, touching the hearts of people from all walks of life. “Wherever He leads us,” says Darrell. Congregations are welcomed to join in faith, singing songs of praise, blended in an eclectic sound reminiscent of Nashville’s country-blues scene that they describe as “Gospel Americana” .

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Darrell, a native of Thomasville, NC and principle songwriter, began recording in 1989. His collection of original material led to the release of six faith-based albums: Stand and Believe (1992), No Turning Back (1993), Big Time (1995), New World Coming (1997), All Good Things… (2004), and Shelter (2013). A prolific lyricist, Darrell has even written songs inspired by, and dedicated to, each of his 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  He formed his ministry thirty years ago, “as a reminder that God is faithful to his children, He hears us when we call on Him, and remains a never-ending help in time of need.”

Darrell is an avid muscle car enthusiast, he’s particularly fond of Camaros, and is on a first name basis with State Troopers across the south.

JOHN 4:13-14

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.

Originally from Fresno, California, Dawn, who served in the Army overseas in Afghanistan as a combat medic, is a former self-described “liberal heathen” who gave her heart to Christ in 2012. Today, she sees herself as “living proof that no one is out of His reach… that no heart is too far gone.”

She can also sing the entire score to WIZARD OF OZ in character, but that’s another story…
