Glorious Night is Darrell & Dawn’s second Christmas album, but unlike their first holiday project, this collection focuses more closely on the journey to Bethlehem and the story surrounding the birth of Christ. Woven among a few beloved seasonal favorites, the songs invite listeners to experience Christmas not only as a celebration, but through the wonder, uncertainty, sacrifice, and hope of that first holy night.
 
One of the album’s most distinctive moments is “Joy to the World,” reimagined as a haunting ballad in a minor key. The unexpected arrangement gives the familiar hymn an entirely different character, allowing its message of hope and triumph to unfold in a fresh and powerful way.
 
Another highlight is the pairing of “Breath of Heaven” and “Joseph’s Song.” By bringing Mary’s and Joseph’s perspectives together, the medley reflects the fear, responsibility, sacrifice, and overwhelming emotions these two young parents must have experienced as they followed God into circumstances they could not fully understand.
 
Alongside songs that tell the story of Christ’s birth, Glorious Night also includes Christmas favorites such as “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Sleigh Ride,” adding moments of warmth and nostalgia to the collection.
